Promotion Via the Web
While most media relations campaigns focus on the conventional media (print, TV and radio), it's not advisable to ignore the Internet! Since more and more people are spending time surfing the Web, it has become a premiere venue for spreading your message. One approach is to find the most trafficked sites for people who would be interested in your product or service, and then figure out a way to present your message there. That could mean contacting the editor of an online magazine, or the webmaster of a particular site. It takes the same skills as querying the editor of a print trade magazine. The result could be placing an article or having your company's URL posted along with a "Tip".
